Throughout the years, the Bedouins in the Levant have been known for producing their own products from cheese to furniture, all from the available resources they have. The colors of the desert are clearly reflected in their attire, furniture and most importantly, in their rugs! Using only authentic wool, they weave their rugs and runners with distinguished patterns.
The craft of weaving rugs started from the desert of Jordan and spread to other cities in the country, including a city called Madaba. The above pattern has become the pattern of the city of Madaba and a symbol of it.
